Carcinogens are anything that causes cancer (cancer causing agents).
For example, chemicals in processed tobacco, some preservatives in processed foods, aspartame, msg, precooked meat have been linked to cancer. Most cancers can be linked to the air we breathe, water we drink, and food we eat.
Anything that is not biologically compatible (man-made) with our systems eventually causes diseases when accumulated in our bodies.
