Depression is a flight-or-fight response?

Depression is our overly passive response to a normal and necessary defense mechanism that, like the rest of our body, is a product of evolution. Depression is the chemically based result of the triggering of the anxiety and fear of the fight-or-flight response, which ends up convoluting upon itself in perpetual recurrence instead of leading to some forward action.

Depression doesn't lead to forward action because we have been educated by psychology to improperly translate its message.
