Plant foods hold special ingredients--carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin E--that fight cervical cancer, too. As you'll recall, carotenoids are the dark orange, yellow, and red pigments you see in fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash. the more of these delicious foods women eat, the lower their risk for cervical cancer. For sufficient vitamin C, reach for citrus fruits (or juices if you[re pressed for time) or add peppers, leafy vegetables, or broccoli to your meals.
