Fight cataracts with veggies and grains

Abstract:The article cites a study featured in the 2004 issue of the "Journal of Nutrition" which found that eating fruits and vegetables can prevent cataracts. Cataract is characterized by cloudiness in the lens of the eye causing vision obstruction. This study showed that eating lot of fruits, vegetables and whole grains resulted to a better vision. These contain nutrients including beta carotene, bilberry, lutein, and vitamin C, which have been proven to lessen the development of cataract.
