Abstract:The article focuses on the effect of metabolic syndrome in women. Metabolic syndrome significantly increases one's risk of developing atherosclerosis, a buildup of plaque in coronary arteries which leads to heart disease, peripheral and stroke vascular disease. Metabolic syndrome is also a strong predictor of diabetes.
