Abstract:The article discusses the effect of grapefruit ingestion on chronic periodontitis. According to the results of a study, regular intake of this citrus fruit decreases the risk of gingival bleeding of patients with periodontal diseases. This attributes from the sufficient amount of flavonoids and vitamin C content of the fruit.
