Abstract:The article reveals the association of dental health to heart health. It has been shown that brushing the teeth is the first step in preventing periodontal disease that can lead to heart disease, stroke and diabetes complications. Chris Kammer of the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in Middleton, Wisconsin says that periodontal disease raises the level of harmful bacteria in the mouth. The bacteria can lead to a plaque buildup in arteries surrounding the heart.
