Abstract:The article discusses the effects of spa bathing on stress relief. To determine the effects, a study where the stress-relief effects of spa bathing are to be assessed by measuring cortisol and chromogranin was conducted. It was found out that the salivary cortisol levels do decrease after the spa-bathing treatment, especially in the individuals with higher levels of stress at baseline. Hence the fact has been established, that the treatment does provide moderate relief for stress at all.
