Abstract:The article reflects on how to deal with stress and metabolism. It credits the study of Kenneth Pelletier, the author of "Mind As Healer, Mind As Slayer," which found that 80-90 percent of all illness are associated with stress while 75-90 percent of all visits to the doctor are stress and anxiety-related concerns. It emphasizes that constant stress can elevate stress hormones especially cortisol, a hormone that is capable of dominating other hormones in the body.
