Aloe Vera Product Achieves a Label Claim for the Relief of Pain Associated with Canker Sores

xx scientifically positioned to dominate the scheduled-to-emerge nutraceutical industry in 1995, beats the market with the first Aloe Vera product to be granted a label claim. This little dental wafer was designed and tested for the treatment of pain from aphthous ulcers (canker sores) which afflict about 20% of our general population. Hundreds of thousands know all-to-well that canker sores cause extreme pain and that topical pain relievers provide only temporary relief.

Baylor College of Dentistry conducted a controlled clinical trial using these dental discs on people who suffer from canker sores. Subjects in this study reported immediate pain relief when the discs were applied. This wafer-like disc actually adheres to the canker sore and slowly dissolves into a gel that is safe when swallowed.

Aloe Vera gel has been used for centuries for the relief from topical burns, but it wasn't until a Texas-based firm patented the stabilization of bulk acetylated mannans from fresh aloe gel plus an effective delivery system that an aloe product was actually capable of meeting the stringent guidelines for a "treatment of pain" label claim. No other Aloe Vera product for canker sores has ever received this level of approval.
