Abstract:The article examines if vitamin C supplements really help in the diminution of common cold symptoms. Review of medical literature and clinical examination show that vitamin C supplementation is effective in combating the common cold, when it is taken daily throughout the year at an adequate dosage. The ideal dosage has yet to be determined and is likely to be greater than the dosages provided in most of the studies reported. Other significant information related to it is presented.
