Abstract:Comments on the use of bromelin for the treatment of patients with severe sinusitis. Role of bromelin in increasing the permeability and reducing the viscosity of inflammatory exudates; Indication that bromelin can increase the response to conventional therapy in patients with sinusitis; Possibility that a substantial proportion of the biological activity of bromelin products is destroyed by gastric juices after oral administration.
