Did Psychiatric Drugs Kill Michael Jackson?

Tagged:

[ The circumstances of Michael Jackson's death are very similar to that of Anna Nicole-Smith's. They were both vulnerable persons with a lot of money coming their way; money that would go to others if they were conveniently dead by legal means. In both cases, the heavy use of prescription drugs was involved. Anna Nicole-Smith's former lawyer, doctors, and boyfriend have been charged with conspiracy.

In Michael Jackson’s case, he had pledged his assets to a bank consortium to support his extravagant and eccentric lifestyle. It had been rumoured for a long time that Michael was on the verge of defaulting on his loans and losing his musical assets, estimated at over a billion dollars. Had he paid his loans, he would have kept all his assets, including the Beatles collection. However, if he was unable to pay his loans, the bank consortium would have claims to his assets, since he had used them as collateral. As part of a plan to pay off his debts, Michael Jackson had put together a comeback tour. His 50 concerts in London were sold out in minutes. He was well on his way to paying off his loans, with the first concert scheduled for July 13, 2009. He died about two weeks before the first scheduled concert date. ]

Was Michael Jackson’s fatal cardiac arrest the result of psychiatric drugs?

In a May 2009 study, which was largely ignored by the mainstream US media, Jussi Honkola, MD,at the University of Oulu, Finland concluded that people who suffered fatal cardiac arrest were more likely to have taken antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs than those who survived.

“Our study shows that medications may negatively impact a person’s chance of surviving an acute coronary event such as a heart attack,” Dr. Honkola warns. “With more people taking medications such as painkillers and antidepressants, the public needs to understand the potential risks and serious consequences.”

Mr. Jackson’s battle with (legal) psychiatric drugs has been well documented. In court papers filed in Jackson’s Santa Maria county case, Neverland security guard Chris Carter testified that Jackson was “taking ten-plus Xanax pills a night.”

Jackson was also under investigation by Santa Barbara’s District Attorney Tom Sneddon who claimed that a huge stash of prescription drugs were seized when police raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch in 2003. The drugs found included bottles of Vicodin, Oxycontin, Versed, Promethazime, Xanax and Valium.

If the King of Pop’s death was due to psychiatric drugs, he certainly wasn’t alone. Heath Ledger, the 28 year old actor found dead in his New York City apartment, died from a mixture of prescription drugs which included Xanax, Valium, OxyContin, Restoril, and Unisom.

Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy revealed that the actress had a combination of 11 prescription pills in her system when she died. Valium, Ativan, and the sleep aid Noctec were among them. Smith’s 20-year-old son Daniel died from taking a combination of the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro along with methadone (painkiller, anti-addiction aid).

In a 2004 study, a team of British researchers investigated all of the drug related deaths in the UK and Wales. The report, which was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, concluded that anti-depressant drugs accounted for over 11% of all drug related deaths in the UK and Whales between years 1998 and 2000.

Though the autopsy results have not yet been released, I have a hunch that Michael Jackson’s fatal cardiac arrest was due to a mixture of the very drugs which Dr. Honkola’s study warned about. A study which received little US media attention, with the exception of those who reported the study only to discredit its findings.

They Have Killed Michael Jackson: The Pharma-Medical Dealers of Drugs and Death

Who killed Michael Jackson???

More reports about the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Michael Jackson indicate that he might have been given an overdose of a prescription medicine called Demerol.

Demerol is a drug very similar to morphine. No, worse than heroine, demerol is actually a horrible chemical melange that does lasting damage to the biological system of any one addicted to it.

It is legally manufactured by the Pharma-Medical mafia and hawked off to the hapless and the naive as something approved by the authorities and thus clinically safe.

Although Rastafari condemns drug use, one could safely hazard that had Michael Jackson been on morphine, or even heroin, perhaps he could have been alive still even if they would have maligned him as a drug addict.

Now, instead he was formally prescribed a highly addictive psychedelic designer drug, so he would escape the tag of a drug abuser. But they took his life instead with a dangerous cocktail of hard drugs.

Reports indicated that Michael Jackson stopped breathing shortly after a rather high dosage of Demerol was injected into him. He was with his doctor at the time of his death. It is being reported that it was the same doctor who had injected him with demetrol.

His staff tried to resuscitate him through mouth to mouth breathing, but incidentally the performer could not be saved. He was pronounced death on arrival at the Hospital.

Superstars drugged to death

This tragedy brings to mind the death of Bernie Mac, who was similar slaughtered by a medically approved prescription drug regime.

Mr. Jackson’s has battled with addiction to psychedelic/psychiatric drugs for many years. Neverland employees reported that Jackson was “taking ten-plus Xanax pills a night.” These drugs are worse than any hard drugs but are freely sold in the pharmacies, and free manufatured by the pharma-medical mafia, and approved by the FDA.

When police raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch in 2003 the drugs found there included bottles of Vicodin, Oxycontin, Versed, Promethazime, Xanax and Valium.

Legalized drug dealing and drug abuse has taken a toll among the rich, famous and privileged since they often have the leverage to get those drugs under very liberal conditions.

Equally ironic is the fact that a life of wealth and privilege due to its its permissive ways robs the soul of its energy and cheer. This often brings on a sense of anomie, alienation and dissatisfaction leading to self-destructive behaviours.

For instance, Heath Ledger, the 28 year old actor found dead in his New York City apartment, died from a mixture of psychedelic drugs amongst them Xanax, Valium, OxyContin, Restoril, and Unisom. These are legal hard drugs. Dangerous considering the fate of Heath Ledger.

Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy revealed that the actress had a combination of 11 legal psychedelic pills in her system when she died including Valium, Ativan, and the Noctec were among them. Dangerous hard drugs made and sold by government approved companies.

Daniel Smith, Anna Smith’s 20-year-old son died from taking a lethal mix of the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro along with methadone (painkiller, anti-addiction aid).

One can also count the late Elvis Presley (Michael’s post humous father-in-law) and Jimi Hendrix amongst the victims of the legal trade in hard drugs by the pharma-medical mafia.

One can also add Michael among this pre-eminent list of deceased addicts. Drugged to death by their doctors and health care providers, with legal psychedelic drugs, in a bid to heal a spiritual malaise which refuses to be resolved.

Requiems

As we mourn his untimely death the question will rise again and again, who killed Michael Jackson? The doctors…the pharmacists…the pharmaceutical industries…the hypocritical givernment… or the Drug Enforcement Agnecy and their fake war against drug. Why did they have to kill Michael Jackson?

Rastalivewire will continue to monitor reports as they emerge.

Michael Jackson Overdose of Prescription Drugs

Michael Jackson Overdose of Prescription Drugs
http://www.kansascity.com/stargazing/story/1282600.html
Life & Style reports that Michael Jackson was taking a cocktail of up to seven prescription drugs in the months before his death.

The star had been taking prescription painkillers including anti-anxiety drugs Xanax, Zoloft, and painkiller Demerol in recent months, sources close to Jackson told Life & Style. The insider close to the star said he took a suspected overdose of drugs on Thursday morning, which caused respiratory and cardiac arrest.

And a Jackson family lawyer told CNN he "feared" the drugs could kill the pop star. CNN's interview with the source follows the jump.

Jackson family lawyer Brian Oxman confirmed Jackson may have had trouble with prescription drugs as he prepared for his London show.

"This was something which I feared and something which I warned about," Oxman said on CNN. "I can tell you for sure that this is something I warned about. Where there is smoke there is fire."

Mr. Oxman compared Michael to Anna Nicole Smith, alleging that Michael had 'enablers' just like her.

CNN details Jackson's long history of medical problems here. At a news conference, brother Jermaine Jackson said doctors and family tried "for an hour" to resuscitate the performer. TMZ's video of the conference is here.

Meanwhile, Hollyscoop reports that doctors visited Jackson "daily”. The site's latest update:

While news of Michael Jackson's death came as a shock to many, inside sources tell Hollyscoop exclusively that the King of Pop "had doctors visiting him daily."

Michael went into cardiac arrest Thursday afternoon and was rushed to UCLA Medical Center around 1pm. His personal physician was with him at the time and accompanied him to the hospital.

At approximately 1:14pm when he arrived at the hospital, doctors and emergency personnel performed CPR and tried to resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at 2:26pm.

The cause of his death is still unknown, but an autopsy is scheduled for this coming Friday afternoon. Michael was transferred from UCLA Medical Center to the coroner’s office via a Los Angeles Sheriff's helicopter shortly after 6pm.

Anna Nicole Smith Attorney and Partner Charged on Drug Charges With Two Doctors

Lawyer Howard K. Stern and two doctors were charged Thursday with giving thousands of prescription drugs to Anna Nicole Smith for years before her death. Stern, who was also romantically involved with Smith, was charged with doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich on criminal conspiracy charges and the delivery of fraudulent prescriptions. These illegal prescriptions continued until two weeks before her death.

Stern’s role began as an attorney and then appeared to morph into part of this starlet’s disastrous lifestyle.

The drugs involved opiates and benzodiazepines, which Stern allegedly administered to Smith.

Notably, the attorney for Eroshevich, a Los Angeles psychiatrist, acknowledged his client wrote some of the prescriptions using fictitious names for Smith. He insists, however, that it was not done for the purpose of fraud, indicating a defense of hiding the identity of a celebrity to avoid public disclosure of her medication. Eroshevich traveled to the Bahamas to see Smith and write the prescriptions.
The indictment says that Kapoor wrote prescriptions for Smith under the alias Michelle Chase, including sleep aids, opiates, muscle relaxants and methadone-like drugs used to treat addiction.

Stern faces six felonies and the doctors each are charged with seven.

It will be interesting if the lawyers have agreed to a joint defense strategy. The greatest danger in a case like this one is that one of the defendants will take a plea. Indeed, the fact that all three are charged may indicate that the government has sufficient witnesses with no need for cooperation. Stern is likely to have the hardest time. The image of an attorney (even a boyfriend) administering drugs will not sit well with the jury. He may have to assert the “following doctors orders defense but that would not sit well with what is known about Stern’s role in the relationship. He was accused of being a bit domineering and controlling. Moreover, the amount of drugs described in this indictment needs like the contents of a local pharmacy. If proven, it would be hard to see a reasonable belief that such an array and quantity of drugs was entirely legitimate.

Anna Nicole Smith's Psychiatrist Released On $20K Bail

Psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich, who is charged with conspiracy for allegedly funneling drugs to Anna Nicole Smith in the years leading up to her death from an accidental prescription medication overdose, turned herself in on Monday.

According to police spokeswoman Rosario Herrara, Eroshevich presented herself at the Van Nuys police station shortly after 11 a.m. She was released several hours later after posting $20,000 bail. For six months prior to her death, Khristine Eroshevich, a licensed psychiatrist who practices in Anaheim and Los Angeles, treated the 39-year-old reality TV star following the death of her son, Daniel.

Eroshevich was the third person to be charged in the case, alongside Smith's boyfriend and attorney, Howard K. Stern, and another of her doctors, Sandeep Kapoor. They were charged with "unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance" and conspiring to "commit the crimes of prescribing, administering and dispensing controlled substances to an addict," according to the offices of the California attorney general and the Los Angeles County district attorney.

Both Stern and doctor Sandeep Kapoor, who was famously photographed with Smith on a float in a gay pride parade, were booked last week and released on $20,000 bail each.

According to reports, Attorney General Jerry Brown said that Stern was the "principal enabler" in the alleged conspiracy. The doctors wrote prescriptions in fictitious names and prescribed unwarranted amounts of highly addictive medications to Smith, knowing that she was an addict.

Smith, 39, was found dead in her hotel room in Hollywood, Florida, on Feb. 8, 2007, of an accidental overdose of methadone, antibiotics, anti-anxiety medication and other drugs, shortly after the birth of her daughter and death of her son, who also died of a drug overdose.

I used to love MJ but since he died and all the people start inventing reasons about why he is death , does not impress me because he needed to be in a drug addiction rehab center because he had problems and his family let him alone and without help .it is too bad because he seemed to be a good man , beside a great artist .

Nice article on the death mystery of Michael Jackson!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I work in Ibogaine Mexico as a medical researcher and know a lot about the effects of using drugs. I can surely say that Michael's death is due to the consumption of excessive drugs. I have read in news that he was addicted to drugs and was in regular use of psychiatric drugs. Regular use of psychiatric can have harmful impacts on the brain and nervous system and this results to death and exactly same thing happened to Michael. I think if he has given ibogaine therapy then this problem could be reduced but he didn't go for it. So, consumption of psychiatric drugs are the main reasons for his death.

By Thomas Watkins, The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press, a finding that makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against the doctor who was with the pop star when he died.

The coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson hours before he died June 25 in his rented Los Angeles mansion, according to the official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the findings have not been publicly released.

Forensic tests found the powerful anesthetic propofol acted together with at least two sedatives to cause Jackson's death, the official said.

Dr. Conrad Murray, a Las Vegas cardiologist who became Jackson's personal physician weeks before his death, is the target of a manslaughter investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed Monday in Houston, Murray told investigators he administered a 25 milligram dose of propofol around 10:40 a.m., after spending the night injecting Jackson with two sedatives in an unsuccessful attempt to get him to sleep.

The warrant, dated July 23, states that lethal levels of propofol were found in Jackson's system. Besides the propofol and two sedatives, the coroner's toxicology report found other substances in Jackson's system but they were not believed to have been a factor in the singer's death, the official said.

Murray has spoken to police and last week released a video saying he "told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail."

His attorney, Edward Chernoff, had no immediate comment but has previously said Murray never administered anything that "should have" killed Jackson.

A call to the coroner's office was not returned Monday. Murray did not say anything about the drugs he gave to Jackson.

Coroner says Michael Jackson died from lethal dose of propofol

By Chris Baltimore

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Pop star Michael Jackson died from a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol, according to findings by the Los Angeles chief medical examiner unsealed in court documents in Houston on Monday.

Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and died on June 25 at age 50. Since then, an investigation by state and federal agencies have focused on Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal doctor who was at his side the day he died.

"The Los Angeles Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner, Dr. Sathyavagiswaran, indicated that he had reviewed the preliminary toxicology results and his preliminary assessment of Jackson's cause of death was due to lethal levels of propofol (diprivan)," according to a warrant to search Murray's offices issued by California.

The document was released by the Harris County District Clerk in Houston, where Murray has an office. U.S. agents raided the office on July 22.

In an affidvit seeking the warrant, Houston police officer E.G. Chance said U.S. agents had gathered "items constituting evidence of the offense of manslaughter that tend to show that Dr. Conrad Murray committed the said criminal offense."

Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, was not available to comment.

Murray, who was in Jackson's personal bedroom on June 25 administering drugs to ease the pop star to sleep, administered a wide range of drugs to Jackson before he died, including a 25-milligram dose of propofol via an intravenous drip at 10:40 a.m. PDT, the state search warrant said.

Jackson was "very familiar" with propofol and referred to it as his "milk" because of its milky appearance, the warrant said.

In the early hours of June 25, Murray also gave Jackson doses of Valium, ativan, and versed, the filing said.

Jackson went to sleep after Murray administered the propofol, and Murray stayed by his side for about 10 minutes and then left "to go to the restrooom and relieve himself," the search warrant said.

Murray was out of Jackson's room for about 2 minutes and when he returned, Jackson was no longer breathing, the warrant said.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Police on Tuesday conducted a new raid of a Las Vegas medical facility in their ongoing probe into the death of Michael Jackson, this time searching a pharmacy for documents and computer records.

Officials with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, which is assisting Los Angeles police in their investigation of the pop star's sudden death on June 25, said agents conducted the raid at a business called Applied Pharmacy Services.

DEA spokesman Jose Martinez declined to say if the search was tied to Jackson's personal doctor, Conrad Murray, whose house and medical offices were raided last month in Houston and in Las Vegas. But Martinez did confirm that Tuesday's raid involves the probe into Jackson's death.

Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and died at age 50. Since then, numerous media reports have said investigators are focusing on his use of prescription drugs, particularly the powerful anesthetic propofol, and Murray's possible involvement in providing it.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County Coroner said it had completed its autopsy report on Jackson's body, but their findings remain under seal while police continue their investigation.

Jackson's doc administered anesthetic that authorities believe killed him

By The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation into Michael Jackson's death says the pop star's personal doctor administered the powerful drug that authorities believe killed him.

Jackson regularly received the anesthetic propofol to go to sleep.

The official, who requested anonymity because the probe is ongoing, told the Associated Press on Monday that Dr. Conrad Murray gave Jackson the drug the last night of his life.

Murray was with Jackson when he died June 25 and has been identified in court papers as the subject of a manslaughter investigation.

Murray's lawyer has said the doctor didn't prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Jackson.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Dr. Steven Hoefflin, a longtime friend and doctor Michael Jackson, has claimed that the King of Pop "had lethal amounts of Demerol and Propofol in his body" at the time of his death.

In an interview on Thursday with Access Hollywood, Hoefflin, who performed surgery on Jackson after he sustained second and third degree burns while filming his 1984 Pepsi commercial, claimed he was speaking out on the authorization of his late friend's mother, Katherine Jackson, to put rumors to rest.

Hoefflin claimed he last provided care for Michael in 1998, and participated in a 2002 intervention for the star.

Hoefflin claimed to Access that according to a reliable source of his, Jackson's toxicology report indicated Michael "had lethal amounts of Demerol and Propofol in his body" when he died on June 25. Results from the LA Coroner's official autopsy of Jackson have yet to be publicly released.

Hoefflin claimed that the Demerol came from Dr. Arnold Klein - Michael's dermatologist - and the Propofol came from Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician in the weeks before his death.

Further, Hoefflin claimed it was Jackson himself who told him about his heavy drug intake -- at the time of his intervention.

"Michael told me Dr. Klein was injecting him with massive amounts of Demerol" in 2002, Hoefflin claimed.

And authorities searched Murray's Houston office on Wednesday as they looked for what a Murray lawyer described as "evidence... of manslaughter."

On July 6, Murray's lawyer stated on his firm's Web site, "Dr. Murray didn't prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson."

When asked by Access if the family planned to "go after" those they believed were involved in Jackson's death, Hoefflin said they would.

"Of course they are," he said, adding an additional claim that Klein had given Jackson a number of drugs over the years.

"Dr. Klein is the one who made his face white by using Benoquin, a permanent bleaching agent," Hoefflin claimed. "[Michael] had Lupus and it was made worse by Dr. Klein's massive injections of collagen. Patients who have lupus should not have collagen... For many years, Dr. Klein was using the very powerful cortisone Celestine to inject into the deep pimples on Michael's face and nose - cortisone injections can thin out tissue in the face. I told him that he should not have any further injections... as it was thinning out his face and nose... [And Klein] was prescribing him narcotics under an alias name, Omar Arnold."

When reached for comment by Access, a spokesperson for Klein released a statement on Thursday, which did not directly address the allegations.

"The Coroner's Office again confirmed that Dr. Klein is not the subject of the death investigation," the spokesperson said in Thursday's statement. "Dr. Klein should not to be cast with the lot of other physicians who may or may not have anything to do with any investigation into the death of Mr. Jackson. The Coroner's Office has a security hold on the investigation and will not further comment. Dr. Klein is doing the same so as not to jeopardize the integrity of the Coroner's investigation.

"Dr. Klein has been maligned in the press by sources who have profit making agendas and/or have been paid by media companies who have given them an unfettered public forum in which to spout fiction and innuendo for cash," the spokesperson continued.

Hoefflin maintained to Access he has not been paid for his interviews -- including one in Britain's The Sun, which ran on Thursday.

A spokesperson for Murray also responded with a statement to Access on Thursday.

"Until we get tangible results, we are not going to respond to someone's theory about how Michael Jackson died. We don't know how Michael Jackson died," the spokesperson stated.

During his interview with Access, Hoefflin said the Jackson family would also go after unofficial biographer Ian Halperin, who just released his new book, "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson," earlier this month. Halperin has claimed in his book that the pop star was gay and that greed led to his death.

Hoefflin said fans should "boycott the book and burn it on the street."

A rep for Halperine declined to comment when contacted by Access.

Denying the gay allegation, Hoefflin, who Michael lived with the doctor during the time surrounding his 1987 album "Bad," also said he previously took the singer to the Playboy mansion.

"All the time, Michael was commenting on the beautiful women," he said.

Hoefflin also put down a number of stories circulating about the pop star, including one report that Michael had a hole where his nose should have been.

The LA coroner made an "involuntary error," Hoefflin said of the report, noting Jackson wore a compressive tape that he used to shape his nose on a nightly basis -- not a prosthetic, which he thought may have confused the coroner.

"I believe that the coroner's office is profoundly competent and did a commendable job in their postmortem examination of Michael Jackson," he said. "It is my belief that the Los Angeles Coroner has made involuntary errors in their description of the anatomical findings."

Hoefflin said he has not been questioned by the police, but he's "sure [he] will be a witness."

Finally, Hoefflin denied doing the last plastic surgery on Jackson, which he claimed was done by another Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and attended by Klein.

A spokesperson for Jackson family attorney Londell McMillan was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access.

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Officials with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration on Wednesday raided a Houston clinic owned by Conrad Murray, the doctor who was with pop icon Michael Jackson when he died, according to local news reports.

Jackson, 50, died of cardiac arrest at his rented Los Angeles home on June 25, just a few weeks before a planned string of 50 comeback concerts in London.

At least a dozen DEA agents and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department entered the Armstrong Medical Clinic in northeast Houston, according to the local ABC News affiliate.

Spokesmen for the DEA and Murray were not immediately available to comment on the reports.

Murray, who was Jackson's personal physician and was at his side when he died, has told police he did not inject the singer with painkillers before his cardiac arrest.

(Additional reporting by Anna Driver, Editing by Sandra Maler)

It is very possible those drugs are very dangerous affecting the brain chemistry , and many can cause addiction, I think he should have seeked help with a rehab center and maybe he would have still made great music today.

TMZ is reporting that the LAPD is now treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide and that they are focusing on Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death and that there is already "plenty of powerful evidence" that Dr. Murray is the person who administered the drug to Jackson.

Police reportedly found vials of the drug along with an intravenous stand and an oxygen tank at Jackson's home after he died. Propofol is a powerful anesthetic -- in related news the CDC and FDA recalled two lots of the drug yesterday after they were found to be contaminated.

Dr. Murray's lawyer would reportedly neither confirm nor deny whether his client administered the Propofol.

TMZ previously reported that investigators are also suspicious of the doctor's delay in calling 911. He waited 20 - 30 minutes and claimed it was because he didn't know Jackson's address to give paramedics. Jackson lived on what is apparently one of the most famous streets in the world.

If things in the United States work the same way as they do in Canada, if you call 9-1-1 from a landline, your address shows up automatically. Though maybe the Dr. didn't know this or there were no landlines available.

LONDON - Two British Sunday newspapers said LaToya Jackson believes her brother Michael Jackson was murdered by a group of conspirators trying to get hold of his fortune.

LaToya Jackson said she knows who is responsible for her brother's death and is determined to see them brought to justice, the News of the World reported.

According to the published interviews with the News of the World and the Mail on Sunday, she did not name any of the people she believes were involved and did not offer any evidence to support her claim that foul play was involved in the singer's sudden death June 25.

"I feel it was all about money," she was quoted as saying by the News of the World. "Michael was worth well over a billion in music publishing assets and somebody killed him for that. He was worth more dead than alive."

She reportedly said the conspirators used powerful prescription drugs to keep Michael Jackson submissive and under control and also kept him away from his family.

She also claimed, the newspapers reported, that roughly $2 million worth of cash and jewelry were taken from Michael Jackson's rented mansion and has not been accounted for.

LaToya Jackson also was quoted as saying her brother did not want to perform the 50 London shows he had agreed to, but was pressured into that agreement.

The shows, to mark Michael Jackson's return to concert performing, had been scheduled to begin Monday at London's 02 Arena.

Officials are waiting for the return of toxicology reports before determining the cause of Michael Jackson's death.

Coroner says Michael Jackson died from lethal dose of propofol
